Askiwa Motorcycle Tours - Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Askiwa Motorcycle Tours. These Terms and Conditions govern your booking and participation in any tour organized by Askiwa Motorcycle Touring. By booking a tour with us, you agree to these terms, forming a binding contract between you and Askiwa Motorcycle Tours.
2. Booking and Payment
To secure your place on a tour, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full a specified number of days (e.g., 60 days) before the tour start date. If the full balance is not received by the deadline, your booking may be cancelled, and you may forfeit your deposit. Prices are stated in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise noted.
3. Rider Requirements
All riders must possess a valid motorcycle license for the duration of the tour. You must be at least 21 years of age. You are responsible for ensuring your license is valid for riding in Canada. We reserve the right to refuse service to any rider who does not demonstrate sufficient riding skill or safe riding habits at any point during the tour, without a right to a refund.
4. Tour Inclusions and Exclusions
Your tour fee includes:
Use of your selected motorcycle (BMW 800/900, Yamaha Tenere 700, Honda Trans Alp, V-Strom 800) for the duration of the tour.
All accommodations as per the itinerary.
Airport transfers to and from your hotel on arrival and departure days.
A dedicated support vehicle with a spare motorcycle and passenger-carrying ability (on applicable tours).
The services of our professional ride leaders.
Entrance fees to all national parks and scheduled attractions mentioned in the itinerary.
Your tour fee does not include:
Flights to and from the tour start/end points.
Travel insurance, including medical and repatriation coverage (mandatory for all riders).
Meals, unless specifically stated in the itinerary.
Personal spending, visas, or tips and gratuities.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Client:
Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
If you cancel your tour more than 60 days before the start date, you will forfeit your deposit.
If you cancel between 30 and 60 days before the start date, you will forfeit 50% of the total tour cost.
If you cancel less than 30 days before the start date, you will forfeit 100% of the total tour cost.
Cancellation by Askiwa Motorcycle Tours:
We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, such as insufficient bookings, extreme weather conditions, or other events beyond our control.
In the event of a cancellation by us, you will receive a full refund of all payments made to date, or you may transfer your booking to another available tour. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, such as flights or other travel arrangements.
6. Motorcycle Use and Responsibility
The motorcycle provided for your tour is your responsibility. You are liable for any and all damage to the motorcycle during the tour, regardless of fault. A security deposit or credit card pre-authorization may be required at the start of the tour to cover potential damages. While a spare motorcycle is available in our support vehicle, its use is at the discretion of the tour leader and is intended for mechanical failures, not for damages resulting from rider negligence.
7. Safety and Support
For your safety and peace of mind, every tour is accompanied by a trained medical professional. A support vehicle is present on all tours to carry luggage and provide assistance should it be required. While we take every precaution to ensure your well-being, you must ride within your skill level and adhere to all local traffic laws.
8. Assumption of Risk
Motorcycle touring is an adventure activity with inherent risks, including but not limited to road hazards, unpredictable weather, and traffic. By booking this tour, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to release Askiwa Motorcycle Tours, its employees, and affiliates from all liability for any injury, loss, or damage you may incur during the tour.
9. Itinerary Changes
The tour itinerary is a general guide and is subject to change. Factors such as weather, road conditions, and unforeseen events may necessitate changes to the route, accommodations, or schedule. We will make every effort to maintain the integrity of the tour but reserve the right to make modifications as needed for the safety and benefit of the group.
10. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
